An Epic Day

My Life. Digitally Prepped, Cooked and Served Exactly as You Ordered.

Track of the Day: Jason Mraz "Traveler / Make It Mine" (live from Chi-Town)

Jason Mraz taught me not to judge an artist until you've seen he or she live.  Jamie brought me to his concert last summer and it ended up being one of the best shows I've ever been to.  It was also one of the more interactive shows I've been to at a venue of that size.  He had us up out of our chairs from the very beginning until the last chord.  Everyone was grinning from ear to ear the entire time.  I wouldn't have considered myself a Mraz fan before the show, but he definitely changed my perception.

This song was great in person, and it helps remind me that even though it's raining like hell out, summer is just around the corner.

Hope you like it.

I want this: MINI Countryman ($TBD)

Wow. As most of you know, I've driven a MINI Cooper exactly 2 times, yet have an unhealthy obsession with them. Most MINI (yes, it is supposed to be all capital letters) enthusiasts will probably scoff at this 4 door version, but I just don't care. 4WD, 4 doors, and what will obviously be an incredibly lively ride. What a nice little package.

Track of the Day: The Clash "Train In Vain" (London Calling, 1979)

One of my favorite songs of all time.  Just something about this one that gets me up out of my chair.

Track of the Day: Mos Def - Quiet Dog

I hate when it takes a commercial to introduce me to a song, but Palm's newest spot caught my ear.

Bicycle Chain Cufflinks

If anyone is looking for a truly unique gift for the bike enthusiast, look no further than these tasty little cufflinks. I personally prefer the barrel cuff, but can certainly appreciate these.

I love that they used a Dura-Ace chain...spare no expense!

IPA o' the Day: Bear Republic Racer 5

From the brewer:

American India Pale Ale

ABV: 7.0% IBU: 75+ Color: Golden

This hoppy American IPA is a full bodied beer brewed American pale and crystalmalts, and heavily hopped with Chinook, Cascade, Columbus and Centennial.

2010 Winter Paralympics (via The Big Picture from Boston.com)

Pretty powerful stuff. It's a shame more of this isn't televised. The drive and determination of these athletes is something we should all strive for.

Cheers to all Olympians, especially those whose road to the games is a little steeper.

OUTLIER: Waxed Cotton Cap

Slick cycling cap. The waxed cotton material would will hold up great and only get better with age. $60 is pretty steep, but I image this thing will last a lifetime.

Jess Jackson (founder of Kendall-Jackson Wine Estates) on work, and more importantly, work-ethic.

I generally dislike these "How to Be a Billionaire" interviews, but Mr. Jackson offers some sage advice.
