This picture sums up people that catch their rays on a bike...not on a beach...
(Still not exactly sure what MashSF is all about, but I just caught a video of their's and stumbled on their website.)
Black and white photography, fixed-gear madness and some soulful riders makes for a great article. Make sure to check out the audio slide-show.
This is why the NYTimes is great.

Being on the road has kept me a little bit out of the loop when it comes to the Tour de France. I had heard that Contador gained some time within the GC and surpassed Armstrong, but I didn't realize it was in what many are calling "rogue" fashion. One thing that casual fans of cycling don't understand is that the Tour is one of the most intensive TEAM sports out there. You certainly can't expect to be the leader of a team when not following the orders of your manager.
I now fully expect Lance to slowly come back to lead Astana. I’m not sure if he'll be able to hold off the field, but my guess is that he's winning guys over in the team bus.
This is the matching bike to the shoe collaboration that Jamie gave me recently. Slick Bianchi Pista set-up.
In what has to be one of the prettiest bikes I've seen in 2009, Core77 drops the Dutch Master on us. There isn't much to say about this one - pure beauty. The white tires are killer and the matching seat/grips really pop. If you've got an extra $1500 lying around, pick one up for yourself.

I like everything about this product and think I may have to pick up a few pairs. I've tossed out way too many shoes due to sweat-induced stink. Maybe this will help increase the longevity of them?
Lance Armstrong brings some serious artistic flavor to the bike he'll be riding in the final stage of the Tour. Using his famous butterfly patterns, artist Damien Hirst totally tricks out the frame and wheel dishes. Although I'm secretly pulling for Garmin-Slipstream, I can't wait to see this rig on the Champs-Ellysee.
On July 12, Team Elevate will descend upon the hills of San Jose to crush 100-miles in the fight against cancer. I’ll be Twittering through the event (if I can muster the strength…I’m no Lance) so keep tabs on me at @tedbarbeau this Sunday!
