Goofy Interview after Surfing
On the Wall with Miranda
Wow. I just checked in on myself on Google to see if my new LinkedIn profile has started to show up. Looks like it hasn't for some reason. I stumbled upon this oldie but goody. After a surf session back in college, I was approached by a local reporter to do an interview for the Portsmouth (NH) Herald. They wanted to ask me all sorts of questions about the day, recent hurricane activity, and surfing in general. Then they took all sorts of pictures of me doing goofy stuff. Luckily this one didn't turn out so bad. Here is a small snippet: J.L. STEVENS: So Isabel didn’t work out for you? TED BARBEAU: Well, not today. It was fine before. Tuesday was big. I heard Wednesday was pretty good, too. But today kind of faded out on us. J.L.: Do you have any nicknames for the sea? TED: Well, we call them tasty waves, that’s about it. J.L.: Do you have a nickname? TED: Rip Shredwell. That’s my new nickname. J.L.: What’s your old nickname? TED: Awww, you don’t want to know that one. Talk about embarrassing.
