Venice Beach Street Art
I recently got the opportunity to spend a few days out in Southern California to visit my family while my father spent an extended period of time working with his West Coast clientele. One of my favorite places in SoCal is Venice Beach - mostly because of the encouraged street art on the walls on the beach.  Having a place where some of the most talented artists can express themselves freely is the essence of Venice.  It's such an eclectic place - and the art is an extension of this culture. I hope you guys have been here before.  And the best part?  Next time you or I go, the art will have changed.

Dog Days of Summer
The most recent New England snowfall has me wishing for warmer summer days.  I really thought we were out of the woods before last night.  I know it's only early March - but I'm desperately looking forward to springtime. I decided to go back and flip thru some of my summer pictures from 2007 on Flickr.  This shot is of a good friend's dog named Indi.  She's a gorgeous brindle boxer that is as personable as any dog I've ever met. Can't wait for more days like this...

Lamb Chop over Minty Parmesan Risotto w/Asparagus
Another passion of mine is cooking.  Luckily for me, my partner-in-crime (Jamie) also loves to mix it up in the kitchen.  She was taught a good amount by her mother growing up, so I'm still playing catch up. This is an old picture (and in need of some Aperture-love), but it was a lamb chop over a minty parmesan risotto with a side of asparagus.  Probably the most restaurant-caliber meal we've cooked to date.
